Minimally Invasive Surgery

Smaller incisions.
Faster recovery.

Advanced surgical techniques let us correct bunions, hammertoes, heel spurs, and more — through incisions smaller than a pencil eraser. Less trauma to tissue means less pain, less downtime, and better results for the right patient.

Understanding Minimally Invasive Surgery

The same correction — with a fraction of the recovery.

Minimally invasive foot surgery uses precision instruments and real-time fluoroscopic imaging to achieve results that once required large incisions and weeks of non-weight-bearing recovery.

Minimally invasive techniques involve tiny 2–3mm incisions through which specialized burrs, rasps, and retractors correct bone deformities under continuous X-ray guidance. There is no large wound to heal and no significant disruption to surrounding muscles or tendons.

Not every foot condition is best addressed minimally invasively — the right technique depends on the severity of the deformity, your bone quality, and your activity goals. A thorough consultation with our specialists determines whether this approach is appropriate for you.

Diagnosis & Treatment

Precise diagnosis. Personalized care.

Your consultation includes weight-bearing X-rays and a detailed biomechanical assessment. We review the anatomy of the deformity, discuss the expected correction, and explain the procedure and recovery timeline so you know exactly what to expect.

Most minimally invasive foot procedures are performed in our surgical center under local anesthesia with sedation. Patients typically walk (in a surgical shoe) on the day of surgery and return to regular footwear within weeks rather than months.

01 · Consult

Patient Evaluation

A thorough consultation — including X-rays and biomechanical analysis — determines whether a minimally invasive approach is the right fit for your condition and goals.

02 · Planning

Surgical Planning

We map the correction precisely using imaging, ensuring the right instruments and technique are selected for your specific anatomy before you arrive for surgery.

03 · Procedure

The Procedure

Tiny 2–3mm incisions and continuous fluoroscopic guidance allow us to correct the deformity accurately with minimal tissue disruption and typically no sutures required.

04 · Recovery

Recovery & Rehab

Most patients walk the same day in a surgical shoe. We guide you through the return to activity — from footwear milestones to custom orthotics for lasting alignment.
